Ch. Aitmatov — the great writer of the century

On 12 December 2025, the university held a large-scale event in honour of the birthday of the outstanding writer and humanist Chingiz Aitmatov. The programme was aimed at a deep exploration of the author's creative legacy, understanding his philosophy of bilingualism and fostering sincere patriotism.

In his welcoming speech, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A. A. Zhamangulov emphasised that Aitmatov is a recognised genius whose talent transcends national borders. Even in the most tragic moments of his works, the writer leaves room for hope and faith in the triumph of life.

Students from a wide variety of fields joined forces to organise the celebration: future doctors specialising in General Medicine (SM), economists, managers, specialists in tourism, business management and information systems. The students prepared a rich programme:

Informative presentations on the writer's life and little-known facts about his biography;

An intellectual quiz on the plots of his main novels and short stories;

Heartfelt performances of songs and readings from favourite works.

The evening was made even more special by performances from SM students Muhammad Shafig, Jokhio Anmol, Tariq Ayesha and Muhammad Younas, who demonstrated their deep respect for Kyrgyz culture through poetry.The evening ended in an atmosphere of spiritual unity. Once again, Aitmatov's work served as a bridge that united students of different specialties and nationalities, reminding everyone of the importance of preserving humanity, love of work, and responsibility to one's homeland. This event not only broadened the students' horizons, but also left a deep impression on their hearts, inspiring them to new achievements in their studies and in life.
